Service Levels

We carter for four levels of service on the mountain to accommodate clients budget and choice of comfort. The difference between the four levels is on accommodation facility, camping equipment, public or private services at camping sites and rescue services.

  • 4-5 star hotel in Moshi or Arusha and for safari or Zanzibar
  • Excellent private airport transfer and safari vehicle
  • Top end camping facilities: tents, chairs, tables, food utensils
  • Private camping sites on the mountain
  • Private toilet, shower facilities on the mountain

  • 3 star hotel in Moshi and for safari
  • Excellent private transfer and safari vehicle

  1. Standard
  • 1-2 star hotel in Moshi and for safari
  • Common transfer in a min bus and standard safari vehicle
  • Standard camping facilities on the mountain
  • Public camping sites on the mountain
  • Public toilet facilities on the mountain
  • Normal rescue services provided by Kilimanjaro National Park
  1. Budget
  • Camping or guest house accommodation in Moshi and for safari
  • Transfer in a common facility or public service
  • Low grade facilities and food on the mountain
  • Public camping sites on the mountain
  • Public toilet facilities on the mountain
  • Normal rescue services provided by Kilimanjaro National Park

We normally do not advise our clients to opt for budget service level on Mt. Kilimanjaro. The costs for the budget service are comparatively low but Kilimanjaro Climbers need a sort of comfort which will raise morale, a key psychological element on climbing Kilimanjaro.
